Advising on the Energy Conservation Act, 2001, as amended vide the Energy Conservation (Amendment) Act, 2022, by virtue of which the Government of India has initiated a framework for the Indian Carbon Market (ICM), which incentivizes entities for undertaking reduction in the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG), inter-alia, by way of issuance of carbon credit certificates (CCC) under the Carbon Credit Trading Scheme, 2023.
